CONNAUGHT PLACE

Often abbreviated and referred to as CP, Connaught Place is one of the largest financial, commercial and business centers in New Delhi. When it was first built, this sprawling circular market was the largest of its kind in India. The area is instantly recognizable on any map of Delhi, being the big circle in the middle with radial roads spreading out in all directions, kinda like spokes on a wheel. Connaught Place can be described as consisting of two rings, the inner ring are made up of Blocks A to F while the outer ring is from Blocks G to P. Visitors can find sporting apparel, clothing, accessories, jewelry, lifestyle products, luxury brands. , prestigious watchmakers and tailors where one would be able to get specifically measured shirts, trousers, jackets, suits, kurtas and sherwanis. In the outer ring, there's a wide variety of handcrafts, clocks, and electronics available for shoppers to choose from.

DAY 127 - NEW DELHI

127) TUESDAY, 1 NOVEMBER 1977 : 0KMS. - NEW DELHI

We went to check  mails again and left a note at the American Express for Rudi (Rudolf Bergmeister) and Martin, our  good friends from Stuttgart. They were inspired by our photos  (slides) that we sent via Lex (Marinsa) for developing in Germany at Rudi’s address. They finally decided to follow our way.

NEW DELHI, the capial of India is very crowded or overpopulated. We went to hang out until late at night and saw many people in the evening. It seems that they are homeless or they might come from remote rural areas to seek for better fortune or to find a job, etc.  in the city.

These people just sleep by the roadside and foot path,  they have to face a cold temperature in the middle of the night and early morning in the winter approaching now.

DAY 125 - MUZAFFARNAGAR

125) SUNDAY, 30 OCTOBER 1977: 213KMS. - MUZAFFARNAGAR

We drove via HAR(I)DWAR,  the town where the River Ganga, after flowing for 253 kilometers (157 mi) from the source at Gaumukh at the edge of Gangotri Glacier, enters the Gangetic Plain for the first time (wiki).
At this place many Hindus come to take a sacred bath to wash away their sins as they believe. I saw a flock of parrots crying very loudly.

DAY 124 - NAHAN

 124) SATURDAY, 29 OCTOBER 1977: 159KMS. - NAHAN

For another day, we drove the whole day crossing the mountains over and over  that I felt very  dizzy because of roundabout  route. Some parts of the roadsides collapsed from the top down or fell down to another steep side.  It looks very dangerous because sometimes there are also big stones falling down, in the latter case it is a high cliff.
