DAY 64 - FEREYDUN KENAR

64) TUESDAY, 30 AUGUST 1977 : 0KMS. - FEREYDUN KENAR ON THE BEACH (CASPIAN SEA)

The weather turned better today so we rushed into a sunny afternoon swim in the CASPIAN sea.  In the afternoon, we received  a gift from Sirous,  grilled fishes again (hoping that he didn’t think we were cats !).

After lunch, we  visited  Sirous’ mother at  a private vacation home of the family on a beach nearby. We have been exposed to well-being of wealthy Persian oilfields owner. They were very friendly to us.









 


 
 

DAY 63 - FEREYDUN KENAR

63) MONDAY, 29 AUGUST 1977 : 0KMS. - FEREYDUN KENAR, ON THE BEACH

The weather  was still not good as yesterday, it was raining and windy. Sirous,  the  son of a wealthy pipeline owner bought us some grilled fishes from the market, very delicious.

In the late afternoon, a jeep of Sirous sunk into the sand beach just near the sea.  They had to call 2 trucks to help hauling up the jeep from the beach.








 

DAY 62 - FEREYDUN KENAR

62) SUNDAY, 28 AUGUST 1977 : 0KMS. - FEREYDUN KENAR ON THE BEACH

A wealthy family, oilfield and pipe-line owner  from AHVAS/Z (just south of IRAN)  came to set camping near our site.

We had a very good time talking together and felt very accustomed to one another, like having been longtime companions, particularly with “Sirous”, a son and his friends, who frequented discussing  with us. It was raining lightly today.

 

DAY 61 - FEREYDUN KENAR

61) SATURDAY, 27 AUGUST 1977 : 0KMS. - FEREYDUN KENAR ON THE BEACH (CASPIAN SEA)

I got up almost at noon because we were talking  and listening to music with our fellow travelers - husband and wife , the French couple until late around 2.30 a.m..  They have a very cute son of 7-8 years old, lovely eloquent  Patrice.  The wife was a teacher  giving lessons for their  son. They intended to settle down and work in Cambodia. They have got a big camping vehicle, having two stories.

Today there were waves all day.  It was a bit cold to go swimming.

 

 

DAY 60 - FEREYDUN KENAR

60) FRIDAY, 26 AUGUST 1977 : 223KMS. - FEREYDUN KENAR

We left TEHRAN along the Asian Highway northward via AB-ALI to AMOL,  then turned up towards CASPIAN sea again until MEHMUDDABAD and drove along the coast of CASPIAN sea.

We reached the beach with less people very near to FEREYDUN KENAR, there were campers of  traveling fellows of the same routes, the French and the British (we had met before and made an appointment to meet again in the rough time periods), already parked waiting  for our arrival near the beach .
